DESCRIPTION:
Folding Endurance Tester determines Folding Endurance of all kinds of paper, cardboard, foil and films upto 0.15 mm. The folding effect on the specimen, loaded by weights, is exerted by the oscillating and rotating movement of the upper clamps.
Folding Endurance Tester shows maximum tensile force to stand test piece before it breaks and elongation at the moment of rupture.
A test piece is fastened vertically between two clamps. The upper clamp folds the test piece by means of the reciprocating circular motion, while the lower clamp maintain it under a given load.
One complete oscillation of the test piece, during which it is, folded first back wards and then forwards about the same line and this oscillation is double fold.
SALIENT FEATURES:
Folding clamp (quick grip type of stainless steel for a strip width of 15 mm) is vibration free due absence of a conventional geared drive.
Two specimens can be tested simultaneously.
The number of folds is registered by two counters, which are stopped automatically, when the specimen breaks.
Fix jaws having loading clamps with weight bars and weights steps of 50 g give loads between 1.96 and 9.32 N.
