About Tearing Resistance Tester
DESCRIPTION:
Tearing Resistance Tester measures the Tear Force required to tear samples of paper, board, plastic films and other similar materials.
The equipment is designed to directly read gF (Tear Force) per one piece. The Tear Force thus obtained can be converted into Tear Energy, Tear Index or Tear Factor by applying appropriate formulae.
The instrument scale is calibrated to indicate the average force exerted when a certain number of plies are torn together (work done divided by the total distance torn).
SALIENT FEATURES:
Incision knife of hardened and ground alloy steel.
Extra light and low friction pointer.
Precision Clamps with controlled jaws.
Zero adjustment screw for scale calibration.
Traceable calibration by use of check weights.
Adjustable incision blade to give precise tearing length according to the test standard.
Easy turn knob clamp mechanism exerts sufficient pressure to disallow any slippage of the test specimen.
Choice of three interchangeable pendulums to analyse material of variable thickness. (Optional)
Easy to operate and has high accuracy level 1% of readout value and reliability.
Adjustable base leveling screw & exchangeable pendulum.
