About Laboratory Valley Beater
Laboratory Valley Beateris used to beat pulp in a uniform, standard and reproducible way to determinethe behavior of pulp in laboratory. Beating is a preliminary step to thetesting of the physical properties of the pulp.
TEST DESCRIPTION:
A measured amount of pulp of specific stock concentration is beaten between the bars of the roll and the bedplate of a Valley beater. An amount of the pulp corresponding to 360 gram of OD fiber is taken in a tub is filled with 18 liter water and maintain the temperature as per specified. The lever is released to engaged bed plate and beater roll to beaten. The beaten pulp is a standard specimen for the testing of the physical properties of pulp.
